WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRP AND iPRF?
Injectable Platelet‐Rich Fibrin stimulates greater dermal skin fibroblast cell migration, proliferation, and collagen synthesis when compared to platelet‐rich plasma. Skin fibroblasts migrated over 350% more with i-PRF when compared to PRP (200% increase). i-PRF also significantly induces greater cell proliferation and significantly greater ability to induce collagen matrix synthesis when compared to PRP. i-PRF yields more than double the number of platelets which play a critical role in tissue repair and regeneration, they regulate fundamental mechanisms involved in the healing process including cellular migration, proliferation, and angiogenesis. This therapy is entirely autologous without any chemical additive and offers superior tissue bio-compatibility and tissue regeneration due to the activated platelets and fibrin matrix. Furthermore, wound healing is drastically improved with i-PRF when compared to PRP as PRP typically contains low concentrations of leukocytes. Leukocytes are the main protagonists in wound healing and the regeneration process. Their presence in autologous therapy increases the regeneration capacity.
CAN iPRF ALSO BE USED ON THE SCALP AS WELL AS THE SKIN?
Absolutely! Hair & Scalp i-PRF is an all natural autologous treatment that stimulates hair growth where hair follicles are present but inactive. Research shows that the higher concentration of platelets, leukocytes and presence of fibrin is superior to PRP as it can enhance the growth of hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. Fibrin functions as a matrix that traps the platelets and controls their release of growth factors very slowly and continuously over 7-10 days. Growth factors release rate into the target tissue is important for tissue receptors to respond over a prolonged period of time following treatment. Organic Autologous Plasma Bio Filler or simply Biofiller consists in injections of a gel derived from the patient’s own blood reducing this way any risk of allergic reactions.
The treatment
During the appointment we will take between 10 and 20 ml blood which is turn centrifuged, filtered and processed to create the Platelet Rich Plasma and then the Bio Filler. Bio Filler will be injected to treat wrinkles and lines and to lift and rejuvenate areas that have suffered volume loss. This treatment also achieves bio-stimulation with stem cells and growth factors producing collagen. The first results are visible immediately after the treatment and effects of the neocollagenesis production can be seen after a couple of weeks. After a couple of months the plasma gel is naturally and completely absorbed in the treated area.
We suggest a course of 3 sessions with a 4-week interval. The results last for about 2 years after the 3rd session if it is combined with PRP serum injections.

Post-Procedure & Aftercare
Like any aesthetic treatment, you must follow the aftercare for best results. You skin is open for 4-6 hours after treatment, therefore you should treat it like an open wound. The skin will be completely covered in blood and PRF which needs to be left on the skin till the next day. Once the blood and PRF has been washed away you will be a little pink and might even see blood/splatter where the micro needling devise has entered your skin. This will disappear after a couple of days as the skin starts to repair itself.
Don’t touch the area or let anyone else touch the areas.
Leave the PRF and blood on your face for as long as possible (ideal till the next day as a minimum)
A clean pillowcase is advised.
Clean the skin with cool boiled water , not straight from the tap.
Pat the skin dry without rubbing it.
No makeup for 48 hours.
You must avoid any products containing AHA,GLYCOLICS, RETINOLS OR ANTI-ageing products for 3 days after.
No sun, sun beds, stream, sauna or heat for 7 days afterwards.Avoid the gym for 48 hours after treatment.
7 days pre or post other regeneration or invasive treatments such as peels, laser, IPL, RF, dermal fillers, Botox.
Your skin will feel tight and dry, this is normal and some people will also experience shedding. This is just the dead skin cells falling off.
Gently exfoliate the skin 4/5 days days after treatment with a warm flannel to help remove the dead skin cells. 10-14 days later your skin will start to glow and feel amazing.
Stem cell IPRF aftercare
This treatment can improve the skin texture and tone, refine wrinkles and may help to reduce scars from acne or stretch marks while preserving natural appearance. IPRF can also be used to promote hair growth when injected into the scalp.
The most commonly reported temporary side effects are redness, swelling, bleeding, brushing, tenderness, ting, numbness, lumpiness and or feeling of pressure or fullness at the injection sites and treated areas.
Visible results may take 2-6 weeks and may vary based on the individual.
Avoid scrubbing the area and injection sites for at least 3-4 days.
Avoid exercise for 3 days.
Avoid makeup for at least 48 hours after treatment.
Avoid any acid based or retinol skincare for 3 days post treatment.
You can return to your regular skincare routine after 3 days.
No sauna , steam sun bed for least 3 days.
No pressing or touching the treated areas.
No hot water on the treated areas for 3 days.
We recommended up to 6 treatments, one month apart.
